PENGARUH KONSENTRASI BAP TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK BATANG NENAS (Ananas comosus. L)

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah mendapatkan konsentrasi BAP yang tepat untuk memacu pertumbuhan stek
batang nenas. Penelitian telah dilakukan mulai bulan Maret 2010 sampai Agustus 2010 di Screen House Balai
Penelitian Tanaman Buah Tropika Solok. Perlakuan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4
perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan adalah dosis BAP (0, 200, 400, dan 600 ppm). Setiap unit perlakuan terdiri
atas 8 stek. Hasil penelitiaan menunjukkan bahwa perendaman BAP berpengaruh nyata terhadap saat muncul
tunas, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah tunas, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah akar utama
pada umur 17 minggu setelah tanam. Perendaman stek batang dalam 600 ppm BAP memberikan pengaruh yang
terbaik, yaitu saat muncul tunas (36,60 hst), tinggi tanaman (17.55 cm), jumlah daun (28.76 helai), dan jumlah
tunas (1.87 tunas) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this research was to obtain the proper concentration of BAP to accelerate the growth of
pineapple stem cuttings. The research was conducted from March 2010 until August 2010 at Screen House of
the Indonsian Tropical Fruits Research Institute, Solok, West Sumatera. The treatments arranged in a
randomized block design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment is a dose of BAP (0, 200, 400, and
600 ppm). Each experimental unit consists of 8 cuttings. The results showed that BAP significantly affect the
time emerge shoots, plant height, leaf number, number of shoots, but did not significantly affect the number of
primary roots at the age of 17 weeks after planting. Dipping stem cuttings in 600 ppm BAP gave the best effect,
i.e. the shoots emerge (36.60 days after planting), plant height (17.55 cm), number of leaves (28.76 leaves), and
number of shoots (1.87 shoots) than other treatments.
