PENGARUH PENYEMPROTAN GA3 DAN ASAL TANAMAN INDUK DALAM MEMPERPANJANG MASA JUVENILE TANAMAN KENTANG
Abstract
Penelitian dilaksanakan di screen house Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran pada bulan Maret s.d Oktober 2011. Rancangan dari peneltian adalah split plot dengan lima ulangan, sebagai petak utama perlakuan penyemprotan GA3 150 ppm (A1) disemprot dan (A2) tidak disemprot; anak petak asal tanaman induk: tanaman in vitro /plantlet (T1); stek pucuk (T2); umbi mini (T3). Setiap perlakuan ditanam di pot plastik (diameter 25 cm) dengan kerapatan 10 tanaman per pot. Perlakuan penyemprotan GA3 150 ppm dilaksanakan setelah panen stek. Hasil menunjukan bahwa perlakuan penyemprotan GA3 150 ppm dan asal tanaman induk belum mampu meningkatkan persentase tanamam induk berdaun ganda, jumlah batang maupun jumlah stek. Perlakuan penyemprotan GA3 150 ppm relatif meningkatkan kualitas pertumbuhan tanaman induk. Plantlet (tanaman in vitro) menghasilkan stek yang paling.

ABSTRACT
The experiment was conducted on the screen house at IVEGRI on March until October 2011, it was arranged by using split plot with five replications. Application of GA3 150 ppm was as the main plot, they were: (A1) GA3 application, (A2) non GA3 application; whereas as the subplot was source of mother plant, they were : (T1) in vitro plant/plantlet, (T2) stem cutting, (T3) mini tuber. All materials were planted at plastic pot (Ǿ 25 cm), 10 plants/pot. GA3 was applied after harvested cutting. The result of experiment showed that GA3 application and the source of mother plant could not improve yet on plant growth (%), multiple leaves (%), number of stem and number of cutting. It was obviously seen that GA3 application can increase mother plant growth quality (performance). The best mother plant source for producing cutting was plantlet (in vitro plant).
